| My Story
On September 6, 2003 I was fortunate to marry my wonderful husband, Greg, and became a mother to his 4 children. I wanted to be the best role model, mentor and mom possible—
"a role-mom". I accomplished this by becoming involved with a phenomenal program called CHARACTER COUNTS!SM It is our nation's most widely used character education framework.
CHARACTER COUNTS!SM teaches children how to know the difference between right and wrong and how to make good moral and ethical decisions and choices. Six Pillars of CharacterSM are taught. If you think of the word "terrific" you can remember them. They are: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship (T.R.R.F.C.C.).
I started using these words and concepts at home and then contacted the principal at my children's school. I met with him and the vice principal and talked about implementing CHARACTER COUNTS!SM into their classroom curriculum. We established a plan to send a core group of teachers and coaches to be certified and trained to come back and teach the rest of the teachers and staff. My Story continued |
My Mission
To teach every child the Six Pillars of CharacterSM so
that they will know right from wrong and be able to
make good moral and ethical decisions and choices that
will have a positive affect on them for the rest of their lives!
My Plan
To meet with as many principals, administrators,
superintendents, teachers, coaches, business owners and parents possible
to educate them on what CHARACTER COUNTS!SM
stands for and how easily it is to implement this program into their organization or school curriculum.
How I Can Assist You
I will come to your school, church, athletic league, business, youth serving or community organization and speak about the benefits of bringing CHARACTER COUNTS!SM and character education to your group and exactly how to implement this
phenomenal framework into your existing programs.
